6 Cutest Places to Eat in Scottsdale and Phoenix

I’m a firm believer that vacation calls for experimenting with new foods at trendy restaurants. I knew Scottsdale and Phoenix would have an abundance of these to choose from, each with its own unique vibe. After dining in the area, I can confirm that the area has a selection of restaurants fit to please every type of eater. Listed below are 6 of the cutest places to eat in Scottsdale and Phoenix, all of which I enjoyed to the fullest.

Where to Eat in Scottsdale and Phoenix

Joyride Taco House

For those interested in grabbing some Mexican cuisine in Phoenix, Joyride Taco House offers a great menu in a chic location. The restaurant has nice patio seating as well as a vibrant interior. My mom and I chose to split the nachos and Mexican street corn side dish and were immediately impressed with the quality. Additionally, the restaurant has a nice drink deal throughout the week, offering $5 margaritas. For it being our first meal out in Phoenix, it is safe to say we began our trip on a tasty note.

Bitter & Twisted

Located in downtown Phoenix, Bitter & Twisted is an upscale cocktail parlour with an imaginative menu. I’ve seriously never seen such a large drink menu at any restaurant before. Bitter & Twisted has pages of unique drink options, some of them being served in quirky cups like empty honey containers. While this spot is mostly recognized for its eclectic cocktails, it also has a tasty food menu. I chose to order the beef potstickers, which ended up being extremely satisfying.

Hash Kitchen

Are you looking for a bougie and boozy breakfast in Scottsdale? Hash Kitchen, which is mostly recognized for its famous Bloody Mary bar, is the top place to be for brunch in Scottsdale! I’m not a fan of Bloody Marys, but I was first drawn to the restaurant when I saw photos of its cereal shooter flights. This menu item comes with four cereal flavors reimagined as brunch cocktails, the flavors being Captain Crunch, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, and Cocoa Puffs. I was super excited to try these out, but it turns out I did not love them as much as I thought I would. However, others rave about them, so don’t allow my opinion to discourage you!

Aside from the diverse drink menu, Hash Kitchen also offers a large variety of brunch foods that are sure to fill you up for the rest of the day. I decided to try the Nutella Lobster Tails, and before you shake your head in disgust, let me clarify that there is no lobster in this brunch food. Instead, this dish comprises Nutella-stuffed croissants shaped like lobster tails and covered with a light coat of powdered sugar. It’s safe to say I went a little sugar-crazy during this meal, but it was delicious.

Rehab Burger Therapy

Whether you’re in the mood for a burger or not, Rehab Burger Therapy is a great place to refuel after a long day of exploring. The fact that I didn’t order a burger here felt like a bit of a crime, especially as I saw the gigantic hand-crafted burgers being served to other tables. However, I was extremely happy that I chose the menu item that I did. I opted to order the nacho taco salad, which was made with beef, crushed Doritos, avocado and so much more. I loved it so much I tried to recreate the recipe upon returning home!

The Montauk

The Montauk is a trendy restaurant with an amazing menu selection. We chose to eat our last dinner here during our trip, and I can confirm it was the best place to do so. I ordered a rosé sangria and fried chicken sliders, both of which were the perfect choice for me. The music was a bit loud inside, so I recommend snagging an outdoor table as we did.

Sugar Bowl

Located in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale, Sugar Bowl has been a staple of the town since 1958. After doing research on restaurants in the area, I knew Sugar Bowl would have to be a part of our trip. This diner is decked out in pink from top to bottom and gives some real vintage vibes. While Sugar Bowl does offer food on its menu, it is mostly visited because of its immense dessert menu. Staying true to my dessert preferences, I ordered a chocolate peanut butter milkshake and was not disappointed! If you get dessert anywhere in all of Scottsdale or Phoenix, be sure to make it Sugar Bowl.

In towns like these, there is no shortage of unique places to eat. In fact, narrowing down your options can be the hardest part! These restaurants easily made my list of the cutest places to eat in Scottsdale and Phoenix thanks to their trendy designs and tasty menus. Have any restaurants to add to the list?
